The IHSA was founded in January 2010 by amalgamating the Construction Safety Association of Ontario, the Electrical & Utilities Safety Association of Ontario and the Transportation Health and Safety Association of Ontario. IHSA offers training programs, auditing and consulting services, and health and safety resources.

The Ontario Construction Secretariat (OCS) is comprised of twenty five organized building trade unions and the signatory contractors of Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) construction.

A Not-For-Profit corporation formed in 1996 to establish a call centre to receive excavator locate requests within the Province of Ontario and to notify the members with underground facilities in the vicinity of the dig site.
