COCA Committees

WSIB/OH&S Committee 

Mandate 
The WSIB/OH&S Committee is mandated to review public policy issues relating to the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) and occupational health and safety that impact the construction industry.  The committee identifies those issues that are of greatest importance to the membership and to conduct research and develop positions, recommendations and alternatives for approval by the Board of Directors.

Construction Act Taskforce 

Mandate
The Construction Act Taskforce is charged with ensuring that the Construction Act is implemented as intended and to support the passing of federal prompt payment legislation.

Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship Taskforce 

Mandate 
The College of Trades Taskforce is mandated to monitor the decisions and activities of the Ontario College of Trades, communicate with the COCA membership to solicit opinions and to disseminate reliable information about the College.  The committee will regularly review the approved position paper on the College and recommend amendments to the Board of Directors.

Chief Operating Officers Committee 

Mandate  
The Chief Operating Officers Committee was created as part of COCA’s Strategic Plan in 2003 to provide a forum for exchanging information and discussing common opportunities and challenges among the Chief Operating Officers of member associations.
